Covid-19 Lockdown: 19-year-old Housemaid Raped By Landlord And Tenant

The issue of lockdown cause by the case of Coronavirus pandemic has been causing many criminals activities in the country because people are not going out to their various place of work.
It is sad to read the news without seeing stories of how minors are raped by those who should teach them morals and uprightness.
A 19-year-old housemaid has been defiled by both landlord, 54, and tenant, 38.
We report that, the police on brought before a Lagos State Magistrate’s Court in Ikeja a 54-year-old landlord, and his 38-year-old tenant, for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old housemaid.
The housemaid was said to be living with her guardian on Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos, where the incident happened.
Both the suspect were arraigned on two counts bordering on child defilement and sexual assault, which they pleaded not guilty to.
According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Simon Imhowa, the defendants committed the offence in March.
Imhowa said the victim’s father had received a call from the landlord asking him to come and take the child from the guardian.
“The landlord called the victim’s father to come and pick her from the guardian because the latter want to use her for money ritual.
“But on getting there, the father discovered that the landlord had been having sexual intercourse with the daughter for a very long time ago, when he received the call from the landlord.
“The victim also alleged that one of his guardian’s brothers, Linus, who was living in the house, had sexual intercourse with her in March.
“The landlord allegedly converted the victim to a sex tool and threatened to kill her if she informed anybody,” Imhowa said.
The two counts preferred against the defendants read, “That you, Olawale, sometime ago, on Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully defile one 19-year-old child (name withheld) by having sexual intercourse with her.
“That you, Okonkwo, sometime in March, on Celestial Road, Igando, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did unlawfully sexually assault one 19-year -old by penetrating into her private parts.”
The alleged crime, according to the police, is punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State,
The Magistrate, Bolanle Osunsanmi, adjourned the case till after thr deafeat og Covid-19 to ensure proper investigation
